Question #6
Idaho has the Idaho Spud. North Carolina has the Goo Goo Cluster. I currently reside in San Antonio, Texas. Our local pride and joy of the candy bar world is the Big One. It's a bar of some marshmallowy substance, topped with peanuts, and covered in chocolate. Dale Earnhardt Jr. is on the wrapper. What the specialty bar where you guys live?

Well, considering that the author is from Boston and covered pretty much all of Boston and Cambridge, we can't add a whole lot. But you can go into a shop and find Boston Baked Beans everywhere. I guess it's a novelty but I don't really understand who is interested in eating burnt peanuts...
One thing that I think is a funny, regional thing that is sort of related to this topic is that in New England milkshakes are called "frappes" which is pronounced "frap." And you can't get a thick frappe unless you ask for "extra thick" and then it's usually still too runny. They just can't do milkshakes right out here.
The only one I can think of is Moonstruck Chocolates, a local candy store that serves desserts as well. While I haven't tried a candy bar (they are upwards of $4 each!) their ice cream is dang good.
There is a company in Salt Lake that makes Salt Lake Truffles, which are long like a candy bar but really soft on the inside like a truffle. They cost about $.75 each and come in multiple flavors which all taste the same.
I think James is referring to the Utah Truffles, and for some reason the peanut butter one did taste exactly like the plain one. They're delicious though.
